Is Yahoo asking to verify email address, password data?

I received an email under the guise of being from yahoo saying my account will be cancelled if I don't respond with personal data and e-mail password.

    It is a scam. Don't do it. There have been a number of these phishing attempt for Yahoo and Gmail. See the link below.

    Yahoo would not ask you for your personal information in an E-mail like that.

    It is a scam to get your personal information and/or money.

    Do not respond to it.

    Report it, forward it to the FTC at [email protected] and to the abuse desk of the sender's ISP.

    Also, if the email appears to be impersonating a bank or other company or organization, forward the message to the actual organization.

    This is a known phishing scam attempting to get you to give them all your personal info. It's not from Yahoo, just delete it and ignore it. Good luck and be careful.

    That is fake - do not respond to it in any way. Yahoo never asks for your password or personal details in an email.
