How do I accept compliments?
When people give me compliments, I can't help but deny it.. no matter what it be for... I've been bullied alot so maybe that contributes.. I know I look/sound like an attention seeker, but I honestly do not think i'm pretty what so ever.. I'm the one who sees myself every morning after I wake up and every night before I sleep. Everyone just sees a face full of makeup.

OK angel, this is pretty different than your usual course of questions and I won't push the issue publicly but you can e mail me.
First of all you have some insecurity issues, and not knowing you in person, I can't really know how you present yourself. I know you are young, but what are the makeup issues you feel you need? Hopefully, if you are like me, you don't wear any to sleep in?
My mirror might even chuckle at me in the morning, and I can frame just my face with my fingers and maybe find 47 things I might change, but WHY?
Compliments might need to be judged by motive. Are they sincere? Are they platitudes from friends knowing your feelings of insecurity? You say you aren't "pretty" which in effect denies what beauty might live within you that others (you believe) don't see.
Being bullied is often a youthful condition, hard to ignore admittedly, but a bully denied, grows tired and bored with their own game and hidden sense of deep seated insecurity they overcompensate for.
If to others you appear weak, withdrawn, introverted, it is picked up on and often used against you.
I would say use a test I have advised regarding naked in front of a large mirror, not with any vulgarity, but in discovering something of yourself you do like, and capitalize on that, also not in any vulgar sense.
If you learn to like, even one thing about you, and express it without imposing it heavily on others, others will see you as a person more in tune with herself in a positive way, and not shun you.
You are probably too critical of yourself. The bullying may have hurt your self image, but keep in mind that compliments can restore that. Saying, "Thank you," lets them know that you have received their compliment. Also, when you look in the mirror, think that you're beautiful and try to see what others see in you.
Just say thankyou
You can say thank you and be done or you can return a compliment..
example: person."I love your hair!!" You.. "awe. Thanks... Cool shoes btw!"
