Windows 7 serial number.?
Hello,
I got my uncle old computer, the OS is down (it was supposed to be Windows 7 ) , recovery is not possible so i have a Windows 7 CD and i am planning to install the windows from that CD.
I am not sure if that PC has a Windows 7 serial number , or i will have to stop the updates and use a key from the internet ?
how can i know if that PC has a serial number or not ?
Update:Guys, i know that it is normally on the laptop ! but this one is a bit old all the stickers have been removed ! is there a way to check using the computer itself ? for example using safe mode to check something or whatever !

look on the bottom of the computer (if its a laptop), and check to see if there is any sort of serial number on the bottom of the laptop, or under the battery, if not found (or if its a desktop) look for the serial number in things that came with the computer. Or contact tech support for your computer maker, and see if they can help you.
Look at button of the computer. It should say which version of windows was installed in the computer, it will also give you the product key number.
