Marquez tells Nacho Beristain to not train Maidana?
Maidana went all the way to Mexico for his first training session with Nacho, and then two hours before he was suppose to arrive at the gym, he gets a call saying not to come down and that Nacho will not train him. Evidently, Marquez did not want Nacho to train Marcos and convinced him not to. They could have at least saved Maidana a trip to Mexico. I like Marquez a lot, but is this low-class or what?

Who knows the reason why,maybe JMM is at the age where he thinks Maidana could replace him as Nacho's #1 fighter or Marquez just wants 100% attention for his fights.If i was Marquez and i thought i could be fighting Maidana down the line it would've been a good way to learn some of Maidana's weaknesses.So maybe not a smart move by JMM
It's selfish of JMM and stupid of Nacho to agree. Firstly, Maidana had hired Nacho to train him against El Terrible. Nobody knows how the partnership would have worked out, if they would find success in the ring or if their relationship would have even gone beyond the Morales fight. Second, if JMM were to face Maidana in the future then he would have a legitimate right to prevent the two from pairing up, but that's a long time away seeing as JMM is chasing Pacquiao for a trilogy.
I remember his own brother made a fuss about Nacho not giving him enough attention before finding another trainer, i guess now we know why.
What Marquez did is something that will ruin his name, such is an action that respect towards his legacy will get declined and reduced, he must not going to act that way because every boxer has his own choice and every trainer has his own method and means, the reason why others choose him because they knows the benefits it can give to them.
JMM is a good boxer and I really admire him about things he done on boxing world, but his attitude and behaviour been unusual recently, so sad to think he is taking such business personally.
But, the last decision is up to Maidana and Nacho, things is about work and nothing else.
