Computer Audio Problem PLZ HELP?

im using a gateway laptop running windows vista and down in the bottom right on the task bar start menu thing where the sound icon is it says "No Audio Output Device is Installed". What do i need to do to get it to play sound???

    First you need to check did your computer come with an audio card? Then which make ?

    Right click on "My Computer" & go to device manager and you'll come to know whether you are facing a compatibility issue or the card isn't working.
