2005 Pacifica six disc CD player problem?

A few winters ago my player started flashing all the lights. After the car warmed up I could get the lights to stop flashing and the player working normal after pressing the Eject button constantly and pressing the disc buttons. Now its worse. With the car completely turned off the 1 - 3 disc lights flash then the 4 - 6 lights flash alternately. Is there a way to fix this besides replacing the player? I noticed someone had the exact same problem and asked on this forum 5 years ago and the only answer was that the disc reader was fogged up and should should start working when the car warms up.

    This is the same problem with the town and country and dodge caravan,

    same error, when the disc are stock or the unit is using to much current

    the problem can be inside the DVD power supply or a mechanical problem with the unit

    there is no easy fix, you have to repair or replace the unit,
