How do Gamestop preorder cards work?
I want to preorder Madden 25 on Monday before the Tuesday release. I preordered Madden 13 by trading in games and cash so I know how preorders work but never bought the $5 preorder card before. I was told by a friend that you can buy card and get the game and give them the 60 like 2 weeks later if you don't have the money right away. Don't know if that is true but can you do that and pay with trade-in credit and cash. I'm worried they will ask for cash only and that they won't let you pick it over a week past the release. Can I just put down the 5 and buy it later but still get the preorder incentives? Also my rewards benefits expired a couple of days ago if they put it on the card.
Update:what I really want to know is will they keep the game for 2 weeks till I get the money for the game

You put $5 down when you preorder and then pay the rest when you pick up the game, so the remaining $55. Putting the money down guarantees you a copy as well as the bonuses for preordering.
You can also choose to put down more than $5 or even pay the whole game off right there.
I'm going for PS4 because actually one of my friends who works at gamestop says that the xbox one is looking to be one of the biggest flops of the year so I'm going with the PS4 then again I have always trusted sony with my gaming. My PS3 has lasted me a good 3 years without any issues or repairs at all.
