Does God reproduce via mitosis?

He has a son, and his son is him. He didn't always have a son, but his son existed as long as he did. Sounds to me like God just split into two Gods like a bacterium or something (which would also explain why bacteria have been massively more successful than any of God's other creatures).

  • No, because you're confusing the temporal birth of Jesus with the eternally existent Christ that has been co-equal with God the Father since before the creation of the universe. It is much more like a wave-particle duality than mitosis.
