It all depends on how health maintains with Craig, and if Hanley truly adjusted into his new uniform. Jose Bautista is a great power guy, but lacks in runs and average, and Frazier decent RBIs and decent power, but lacks in SB and has a subpar average.
With Craig you get a Power 1st baseman who hits for average, and in only 119 games, he hit 22 HRs and drove in 92 RBIs. Think about that, he missed 43 games. If he stays healthier and gets to 150, lets say, he starts putting up MVP-Caliber numbers. Then there is Ramirez. Amazing potential that has really started to come out since the trade from the Marlins to the Dodgers.
Last year he hit .257, 24 HRs, drove in 92 RBIs and stole 21 bases. But lets break this down, cause it really shows how good he might be next season. Before the trade his average was poor, only hitting .246 with the Marlins.Yes he hit 14 HRs, and yes he drove in 48 RBIs, but the average was a killer.
When he went to LA, things turned around. By the end of the year he hit 10 HRs, 44 RBIs, stole 7 bases and had a .271 average. And that, once again, was only in 64 games, compared to the 93 games with the Marlins. If he would of played his full season on the pace he was with the Dodgers, he would have MVP type numbers as well.
I would say take it, if these things stay consistent, you got your self a HUGE upgrade.
Depending on your scoring, but in 99% of cases I would say absolutely do not make that trade! Joey Bats will give you more than those two COMBINED except in SB.
