The PS2 uses DVD's to store data, which have much less space on them, while the PS3 uses blu-ray discs which have about 20 times more space and can hold much more detail on them. Not to mention the PS2 and PS3 have way different processors in them, the PS3 is much more powerful, your PS2 can't handle blu-ray disc graphics, the processor isn't powerful enough. I'm sorry. But you can buy a PS3 slim for $299 and the game will work on that.
