Do colleges notice your weakness?
So, i'm a sophomore and about to be a junior. Throughout my middle school and high school life I have NEVER been good at history classes (Civics, world history, etc.) I always get like C-, C. When I start applying to colleges will they notice that, that is the only category that I fall behind in? Does it significantly reduce my chances of getting in. I take about 3 honors/ap classes and I'm not gonna lie, I'm not the brightest bulb. I get B's and in math I get A's, A-'s. Thanks for the help!!
PS. I'd really like to attend The University Of Minnesota.

Don't stress it! chances are you'll get in, grades in HS aren't that important its when you get into college that people look at your GPA

What you should be worried about, is that you'll have to take 2 more years of history in college. And if you struggle with high school history classes you will probably fail harder college level history classes. Being as history is one of the General Education requirements at every college.

Colleges don't want perfect Students, they want you to be "well rounded."

•Pick 3-6 school ( 2 safe schools) don't focus on one school. Read: Debt-Free U Zac Bissonnette.
•You want to take the SAT/ACT Twice and prep both time.
•Think about volunteering and getting involved in 1 school club or function.
•You'll be asked to write essays, be creative and talk about your weakness and how you can still be successful in College.
•Think about Co-operative Education. More than good grades, employers want experienced workers.

Probably they will. Does it "significantly" reduces your chances of being accepted. It depends on the overall level of applicants. Perhaps you can compensate for those grades with extra curricular activities or with your SAT scores.
