That depends on a bunch… are you FTM or MTF? Do you already dress like the gender you see yourself as and wan to transition to?
I can't be very specific but I suppose just tell you don't feel like you are a [birth gender], and go from there. Make sure you tell her you still love her so she isn't confused about that or anything (assuming you do).
I would suggest wearing gender neutral clothing when you tell her. Just sit her down and explain your feelings.
