I just purchased an Audi A4 1998 2.8L V6 with 107k. the car runs great but the only issue with is that there's certain part of the car that doesn't work for example: the headlights only work s when i'm flashing somebody, the signals doesn't work, the whipers doesn't work, A/C and heater doesn't work, the cruise control and the rear view mirrors. what could be the problem with it? how much could I be looking forward to pay not from a dealer but from a mechanic shop at a gas station?

Ok, first off, did this car have to go through a safety inspection to get registered? If so, how did it pass?
Headlights- switch is done- replace switch (the one next to the turn signal)
Signals- relay needs replacing- its behind the flasher switch in the HVAC/Radio binnacle
Wipers- Possibly the switch or the motor
HVAC- couldn't tell you, but I would bet the fan has bit the dust
Cruise- relay or one or one or more vacuum lines have been cracked or disconnected.
Mirrors- relay or the switch.

*Note, why didn't you have the car checked out prior to purchase? This could have been a good negotiating tool. Also, DO NOT have a mechanic at a gas station work on it. Audis are not the easiest cars to work on. Find a independent mechanic who works on imports, especially German.
