Does dark brown hair dye fade fast?
I'm getting my hair dyed on August 30 for school. I will be going to a professional to get it done so I'll be using good hair dye. I normally get my hair dyed red, because it looks really good on me. But, red fades very quickly so I was considering a dark brown. But does it fade quickly? I will be taking pool in P.E so I will be exposed to chlorine every other day. I'll use color safe shampoo. Also, if anyone knows, what does faded dark brown hair dye look like? Thanks to all in advance for the help, I've never gotten my hair done brown yet

it depends on what your hair color is when you dye it. Brown hair dye fades fast on me because my hair is blonde. Also, some times dye just fades fast on certain people. I think that red dye usually fades pretty fast, though, so you might have no problem at all with brown hair dye.
Chlorine really damages your hair, so you might want to wear a swim cap

Well if your hair is already a little dark it'll take awhile to notice the fade, but if your hair is very light , like blonde, then wen it fades it'll look light brown then back to blonde.
honestly, i actually dont think you should do anything that drastic. get some honey okker highlights or something. because if you want platinum blonde hair, you are usually going to have to bleach the actual heck out of it.
