l l means absolute value meaning any number inside it is positive so removing it you will have x-4 if you multiply it by - you will get -x +4 ok.
y and x must be each less than 4 then:
y+x=4
it changes to
y=-x+4 or -y=-x+4
y=x-4
i don't know what else to say. you cant solve a problem like this. after this you need to graph it.
