Do pesticides cure cancer?
I am under the impression that they do. Think about it.
Pesticides allow for the cheaper production of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables provide antioxidants. Antioxidants are one of the most important deterrants of cancer.
Without pesticides, fruits and vegetables would be prohibitively expensive for many people, so people would not get enough antioxidants, and as a result, would more commonly develop cancer.

Update:Allow me to rephrase my question so as to not be taken literally.

It's not just cancer you should be talking about.
I'm in the health profession and by all means eating fruit is more important than not eating it because there may be residual pesticides.
Granted organic foods are probably better, but in todays society, many people can hardly afford food, let alone organic food.
You need to think on a population basis. For every one or two people that would get cancer from consuming the pesticides, many others are staying healthy because they can afford the fresh fruits and vegetables.
I really think we need a compromise between pesticide use and the price of organics, but until then...keep eating your F&V.
I beg to differ.... Pesticides , are for killing insects that eat the fruit, not to save the antioxidant's in the fruit..... If anything, Pesticedes are contributing towards our "Global-Warming" !!! They are "Polutants!!" Poisons!!! And not at all good for our fruit, which is why we are told to rinse our fresh fruits, and vegeez really good, in order to get some of the Pesticides off of them!! I dont believe their is a way we can completely get rid of it, off of our fruits & vegeez..... But, it is very important to always rinse your fresh produce!!! Pesecides, are just there to kill our insects, in which God created, to use to clean the earth! But , without the Pesticides we wouldn't produce much of a "Harvest" and farmer's wouldn't be able to make much money, for that season! So, it is a bit of help in that respect. But to help prevent CANCER!! Wow, aren't you pushing the bar, a bit? That's a pretty wild assumption, if you ask me!! Think about it, Pesticides are a Poison, right? Cancer, is a toxin, in those humans who have it..... Poison/Cancer...... there the same to me!!! Nice try tho!! smile!!!
talk about flawed logic.. you are right to a degree, but there are acceptable levels of pesticides and unacceptable levels.
if everyone who eats the poison gets cancer, would it really matter if they were ingesting antioxidants?
