All of a sudden, my dvd drive stopped working. In Device Manager, there is a yellow caution icon next to the drive. What should I do to fix it? Do I need to update the driver?
The problem your causing is your ejecting disks before they have loaded, this is when your prompt 'Disk is still in use'
Always goto computer to eject the disk and check to see if your disk drive safely restores
Run chkdsk to repair missing files, if your running Xp, enter sfc /scannow into the run commands, have your recovery cd ready, it will scan the disk and restore any missing files.
Remember theres a gap between sfc and the forward slash
