DADT: Repeal or Keep It?

Are you for the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy or do you want it repealed? Explain your reasoning.

  • Keep it. The weird thing is that I'm fine with gay marriage. The thing is that the military environment is just not ready for openly gay soldiers. It's not discrimination. It's just that we need to have the armed forces ready to do battle, with the enemy and not each other over the drama repealing DADT would create.

  • DADT is "Closeted" discrimination. While gays are allowed to shower with the group of people they enjoy looking at and have sex with,(though they have act straight) straights are forbidden the same luxury. Once openly gays can shower with the sex they like to look at, openly straights must be allowed the same freedom.

End the Discrimination today. Allow our service members the freedom to shower with who they like and stop discriminating against straights.

People said the same thing about blacks too. Yet the military was the first place to have segregation removed, before any state, or school the military desegregated.

  • Repeal it. Gays should not be disqualified for military service or have to hide who they are. The 14th Amendment provides equal treatment under the law for all citizens.

  • Repeal it, the only thing I care about is how good of a soldier they are, not what gender they prefer to fornicate with.

  • Repeal it obviously.

If someone is willing to die for their country why should they have to live a lie?

It's really shameful how republicans, conservatives and bigots want to control people's lives.

  • Get rid of it. Its actually gotten several people kicked out of the service.
