Windows error - ip problem?
I wanted to share my Internet with my xbox, but once I made this workgroup, sharing the connection or something, my Internet doesn't work anymore. I'm on my iPad now, and my laptop is off and now It does works. So I think it's my laptop. I cannot use the "run - cmd - ipconfig/renew" thing, because it just says that it doesn't work.
Any tips? Help? I think it's the workgroup, how can you delete it?

Take a step back
Turn OFF internet connection sharing, that is only for
two pc's that are connected with a LAN cable,
in the case where One of them can get internet but you
cant connect the second one at the same time.
That is NOT what you want to do.
your XBOX should be made to connect to your ROUTER.
in a similar way that your Laptop does.
on your laptop, after you turned off internet connection sharing.
just rerun the internet connection wizard, and tell the laptop
to get its internet from the Wireless connection like i assume you want it to
leave the laptop alone now
making two devices have the same WORKGROUP is only so
that they can SHARE some DISK folder.
to share some disk space
Enable File And Printer Sharing.
point to a folder, right click it and choose SHARE if thats the one you want to share.
on the other device
make sure the WORKGROUP is the SAME
make sure the IP MASK value is the same, default is usually 255.255.255.0
unlikely to need to be anything different to that.
thats it.
IP's should all be handled by the router and should not be a problem.
