Illegal issue concerning email sharing?
I've just joined a major cell phone provider and I've gotten multiple emails about data usage which were sent to me and another person. The emails have a personal account number (along with the data information) which is supposed to be sent directly to the person who owns the account. Is this illegal?

Not in the sense you are looking for. If you could prove in court you incurred damages from the data sharing you could sue them for that, but you would probably bankrupt yourself with attorney fees before you would get anything.
No one is going to jail. Have you called them and asked why the messages are going to someone else as well? Or are you just hoping for some huge payday? Do you even know who the other person is? Do they have a phone on your account?
