2004 mazda rx8 turbo?
I was wondering did the rx8 come with a turbo this year cause under my hood it says turbo mazda(competition only) and on the right side of the engine it looks like a turbo but people said it was and wasn't the dealership said they didn't make em that year.. sorry but I know nothing about the rotary this is my first one

The Rx-8 did not come with a stock turbo that year. If the car has had any previous owners they could have installed one though.

RX8 is naturally aspirated. It never came with a factory turbo. The rx7 was available with twin turbos and was even less reliable than the rx8 which is saying a lot. Good luck with the car, if it's turbo, take it easy with the boost and be neurotic with the preventative maintenance.
