I'm trying to program a Clicker garage door opener.?

I have followed the instructions to a T and cannot get it to work. Any experts out there? I click the button inside the clicker and then the one on the door, wait, and it never stops blinking. The garage door light does but not the Clicker.

Update:

I am replacing the old remote because I rented the house out and the renters took the original remote with them and I can't seem to get them to return it.

  • ==== there are a series of tiny switches in the clicker in your hand and up at the door motor there are the same corresponding same switches behind the cover inside that little black box == both must be reset to the same combination of numbers == all switched the same ===

  • if you're positive you have the right remote for your garage door opener then 1)it could be as easy as pressing the remote button a few more times than you think you have to; sometimes you have to push the button 2 or 3 times to lock in the code. 2)make sure you are pressing the "learn" button on the opener itself before pushing the clicker. or 3)it could be something as simple as replacing the batteries. why did the remote stop working in the first place?

  • Okay, you have an Overhead Door opener, so you need to push the button either five or six times after entering programming mode. Remember to wait for the light to stop blinking after each press like it says. If you have a newer Legacy door opener, you will have to follow the separate IntelliCode 2 programming instructions: http://www.chamberlain-diy.com/catalogresourcesv3/...
