Do scholarship search sites actually work?
There are so many like Fastweb and Scholarships(dot)com but with so many there and so many claimed scholarships all over their sites I feel like all the efforts I ever put into searches with these sites are wasted. I, for one, have never recieved scholarship through a search site nor have I ever met someone in person claiming to have gotten one either. I think they're just empty sites generating traffic to make money from the ads riddled across the pages.
I know there are thousands of other people searching for scholarships so my chances through a site are low, duh... I would like to determine if a real human being has even received real help through these sites.

they work, but what you're failing to take into consideration is that tens of thousands (probably more) of other people just like yourself are applying for the same scholarships. your odds of winning are about as good as winning the lottery.
